CUBS Scout Ball Team

The Southern California Cubs are one of the few scout teams recognized by their organization. Coach Moriarity has the backing of the Chicago Cubs beginning with the former G.M. Jim Hendry, and continuing with the General Manager Jed Hoyer, on down through its scouting department. Communication between the Cubs organization and its Southern California Scout Ball Team is of upmost importance.

Players are selected to try out only by way of their high school coach, college coach, or a pro scout. The objective of our program is that all players will either sign letters of intent to play college baseball or be drafted in the MLB first year player draft. The Southern California Cubs are members of the Southern California Scout League. The Scout Ball season runs from September through November.
